Sophia smiled slightly. "Yeah... I sometimes wish I had wings... I'd love to just Fly over everything, seeing the sites from Miles above the ground... But hey, I guess being a wolf isn't all too bad either... I'm quite a bit faster and A little stronger than other Beasts... Plus I have the Enhanced hearing, sight, and smell going." She said with a Chuckle. She moved toward the front cart of the Coaster swiftly, and hopped over the first seat, into the one farther over. She looked over at her friend with a smile. "Let's have some fun with this." She said, an almost evil grin on her face. She was planning on creating some sort of Illusion on the ride, to increase the Fear Factor. She giggled slightly to herself, thinking of some fun illusions she could use. She knew she was pretty scary normally, but she was even more scary, while she was happy, but she didn't care.

"That must be handy in battle..."
Skye mused as she explained her wolf-like abilities in detail. He liked being able to fly, and while wings could help him evade, they were pretty useless for actual combat, something that couldn't be avoided with a Beast's required...lifestyle. His animal form naturally wasn't very fearsome, either, being even more useless in actual combat. When it came to fighting and...hunting, he tended to rely more on his optic abilities more so than his actual Beast features. He figured a wolf, on the other hand, would be a force to be reckoned with. The roller coaster came to a halt again, letting out it's current crop of passengers as it returned. Now there turn was up. Sophia quickly hurried at took the front cart, saving the first seat of it for him. She passed him a smile. It was almost a bit of a scary smile, he thought, unless he was imagining it, but he didn't pay much notice. Grinning, hen nodded and hurried over and joined her, still trying not to show his slight anxiety as the ride attendant buckled them in. The ride took off with a jerk, the cart creaking over the initial tracks and beginning a slow climb up the first hill.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Rollercoasters are a wonderful thing. People change at the top of them. Staring down from the top of the big hill, everyone has a bit of fear. The feel of ascension when you climb the hill is nowhere near enough to realize the height you're at. It's the wait at the top that seems to take forever that hits you. It's too late to turn back, let's hope you're as ready as you thought you would be, Skye.' She said with a soft smile, looking down at the kid. She shifted slightly as the rollercoaster twisted, and started to climb up a hill. Not the biggest one, yet, but that was coming up quickly.
*Clackclackclack* After a few seconds, the rollercoaster reached the top, and ran down the other side at a high speed. A couple of twists later, they reached the base of the big hill. *Clackclackclackclack* They started to rise once again. She put a hand on his shoulder as best as she could with a smile. "Going up." She said, watching ahead of them as they rose, agonizingly slow, to the top of the coaster. She looked around them, at the Carnival below, the lights from this angle were just as beautiful. They crested the top, and she looked down the hill ahead of them with a grin, a good 80 feet high, Sophia herself seemed nervous, ever so slightly. She looked over at Skye, knowing what was coming, to see how he was handling the height.

There was a soft smile on the woman's face as she talked about the type of ride, saying that she hoped he was ready. Skye nodded, but wasn't sure if her words made him feel more nervous, or more excited. Perhaps a bit of both. He shuffled his feet and his wings in anticipation.
He quickly discovered what they meant when they crested the top of the hill. It wasn't so much the height per-say...it was the feeling of going down that made him give out a small, startled cry. His stomach lurched upwards with the fast, downwards rush, the wheels clanking madly over the rails as the wind brushed against his face. It made his hands shake as he clung to the bar in an attempt to steady himself. It wasn't unpleasant, though, and he giggled a bit afterwards. It was definitely a new sort of feeling.
But the ride wasn't nearly done yet. It began to climb an even higher hill, the boy marveling at the ascension and following his companion's eyes down at the scenery of light and color far below them. Wings or not...he suddenly found the height making him a bit nervous, the thought of rushing down at that speed making his palms sweat. Noticing Sophia pass him a glance, he subconsciously scooted closer, his anxiousness probably showing on his face whether he wanted it to or not.

Sophia laughed as she watched Skye's face got more nervous. "Don't worry, it'll be fuuuuuun!" The last word was stretched as they started down the next hill at a tremendous speed. The wheels sang their song as they moved, and ahead of them a large loop caught Sophias eyes. Her hair flaired upwards as they went over the loop, and then through a corkscrew right after that. The corkscrew led to another, mid sized hill. One of the last two drops before the end. "How ya doin, kid?" She asked with a giggle, brushing a hand through her own hair to get it back to normal.
She closed her eyes and smiled as she thought back to her first rollercoaster ride. Her brother was almost in tears going through the ride, and at the end decided he loved it, and they rode the ride three more times before getting off. Her brother threw up after getting off, though, which made her laugh slightly. Let's hope this kid has a stronger stomach...

"Don't worry, it'll be fuuuuuun!" The last word of his companion's comment stretched out as the cart all at once descended. He felt his stomach tingle, moving up to his chest as the rapid, clanging movement and the rush of speed and wind. A few playful screams sounded behind them from the other riders, and he let one out himself, clinging tightly to the bars. The cry was a mixture of fear and laughter, the boy tensing again as they immediately ascended into a lop. They went upside, his stomach falling even higher into his chest and the movement making him slightly dizzy, but loop was over in what felt like an instant, the cart blazing and clanking through several corkscrews as more thrilled screams sounded from both him and the other riders.
His companion looked in his direction, asking him how he was doing. He tried to find a moment where he could get his voice to form actual words. "I'm f...fine!"
He was breathless, and his hands were clammy, but there was still a grin on his face. "This is awesome!" He decided, as they went through another corkscrew. Definitely an experience.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Soon later, the ride entered the pavilion once again, slowing to a stop. Sophia got out of the roller coaster, and reached a hand toward Skye, to help him out. "Well, How was it? Careful when you walk, your legs may be a bit wobbly." She said with a soft smile. She turned and looked at the Ferris Wheel, then the Carousel, then back to Skye. "So, the choice is yours. I think I have enough time for one more ride. Whatll it be?" She asked, grinning slightly.
Sophia walked through a carnival, hand in hand with a man, a bit taller than she was, toward the Ferris Wheel. As they got on, she snuggled up close to him, and rested a head on his shoulder. They must have been on a date. As they rode, she looked out with a smile, the ride stopped every few moments to let people on. When they reached the top, her eyes met her dates, and they kissed each other lovingly.
She smiled, the memory of her first kiss was a great one, and it always made her smile. It was only 14 years ago now... "I'm almost glad no one ages anymore... I'd be an old lady by now." She said with a joking smile.

After the last few corkscrews, the ride slowly came to a halt. Skye was almost disappointed to have it stop now. It'd been scary, but he'd come to enjoy it. But he stepped out as it came to a halt and the attendant unbuckled them, his legs did indeed feel a bit wobbly, he realized, as did his stomach. He still managed to stand, though, the dizziness slowly starting to go away. "My legs do feel a bit funny...but it was worth it!"
He grinned, glad that he'd gone. I told you I could handle it, dad. A small smile was on his face. The woman looked towards two more rides, the carousel and the ferris wheel. One more. He probably didn't have money for anymore than that either, he realized. He debated. The carousel seemed so tame after the roller coaster, almost too much of a little kid's ride, in his mind. And the ferris wheel... "Don't rock the cart!" The boy insisted timidly, clinging to his father's jacket as he closed his eyes. "Aww, when me and my friends were young, we always liked to make it swing." His mother giggled playfully. "You don't need to worry, hun. We're buckled in, and the cart is made not to flip over." Skye seemed uncertain for another moment. "...Really?" His father nodded. "That's right. You should open your eyes and look around a bit. You're missing the view." Nervously, the 8 year old cracked his eyes open, still clinging tightly as he gazed over the edge. His stomach twisted, but his gaze opened wider. He'd never been so high before! Everyone below looked like figurines, and other rides, stands, stages, and even the far off horizon stretched out below him. It was scary, but it was amazing too. Maybe it wasn't so bad, as long as he was safe between his parents. Relaxing a bit, he took another piece of cotton candy as his mother handed it to him."The ferris wheel had a lot of memories. Going on it would be bitter sweet, but... He eventually nodded in its direction. "Let's go on the ferris wheel!" He decided, walking in the direction of its line. He looked up as Sophia spoke again, mentioning the fact that no one aged anymore. He gave a slight giggle at her smile, but then his lips down turned slightly. "I wish I'd been your age when it happened... Right now, if this was the real world, I would be about the age you are now, I think. But instead I'm stuck like this..." There was a sadness in his voice, even though he tried to hide it as it trailed of. If this was the real world, he would've just turned 21. Instead, he was still a kid, fated to never grow up. It was frustrating. He didn't want to stay this way forever. But there was nothing he could do but make the best of it. Sophia smiled softly, looking down at the kid. "You see. Being young isn't all bad. You can get piggy back rides, since you're so small." She chuckled softly, grabbing the boy's arm and pulling him up, holding him against her back and grabbing his legs. "Hold on tight!" She said as she started running. Her legs, with the wolf speed and strength, carried them through the crowd swiftly. Soon after they were in line for the Ferris Wheel. She laughed happily as she let go of Skye, letting him back to the ground. "See. It isn't all that bad!" She leaned against one of the line-queue fences, shifting with it as the line did. After a few moments they were next in line. "This ride has one of my all time favorite memories with it. I had my first kiss on a Ferris wheel." She smiled, almost blushing as she talked, recalling the night again. "The only thing that was wrong with the night was my brother and sister in the next cart, yelling at us the entire time..." She chuckled happily at this, the hint of a tear in her eye, tonight reminded her of her brother, her sister, and her First real love... all of which were lost to her now... She shook the sadness from herself, not wanting to kill Skyes mood too.

Skye laughed in surprise as she lifted him up, hoisting him up into a piggy pack position as she cut through the crowd. She moved at a rapid speed, her wolf features propelling them faster than he'd ever been able to fly or run himself. Clinging tightly, he giggled and looked up at her with a grin as they reached the line area, the woman putting him down. "I suppose not..."
He smiled softly. Even if he couldn't grow up, maybe life could be more fun, this way. "Thanks..." He added quietly. His gaze went slightly downwards, but he actually did feel a bit better, now. The boy moved his gaze back up as Sophia spoke again, recalling a memory of her own on a ferris wheel. She chuckled, a smile on her face, but he also caught sight of a suppressed tear in her eye, the light from the ride glistening off the hint of water. He could see that she quickly tried to shake it off, but he didn't really mind. Apparently he wasn't the only one with memories of a ferris wheel that were bittersweet. Remembering them was both pleasant and painful at the same time, but he didn't really think that was a bad thing. He chuckled just a bit. "My mom and dad told me that they went on a ferris wheel for their first date. They used to love this ride! Especially my mom, before she became a Hollow." He commented, smiling just slightly. He heard the voice of the attendant after that, though, the man urging the next set of riders forward as he opened the gate. "Oh, let's go!" Skye grinned again, moving up towards the entrance to the ride.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Sophia grinned at the young boys excitement, and she followed him onto the Ferris Wheel. The attendant closed the grate on the side, and went over to star the ride up. The two moved slowly, then stopped as more people got on. She smiled and looked over the edge. They were about 60 feet up. Nothing too exciting yet. She looked up at the top of the ride as best as she could, She figured the top would be about 260-270 feet up. She couldn't wait. She shook the ride in anticipation, not knowing of Skye's fear of the rocking.
They moved once again, and stopped, then moved, and stopped. She looked over at Skye, they were one stop away from the top. "We're almost to the top!" She shouted in joy. She felt like a kid again, and a wide smile played across her face.

Sophia followed him onto the ferris wheel as he plopped down into the padded seat, the ride attendant pulling the grate over them that he'd always feared he could slip through when he was younger. He grinned in excitement, though the ride started slowly, stopping and starting as other people got on. Sophia rocked the cart back and forth slightly, making Skye flinch a bit and close his eyes as he clung to the bars. But he realized he was being foolish. Besides, the fact that he had wings now made it even more unnecessary.
"We're almost to the top!" At the sound of his companion's voice, he opened his eyes again, peering over the edge, only to find that the height no longer made his stomach churn. It was probably from flying - his fear of heights was gone. The view was beautiful, though, even better than the one they'd gotten on the first ride. He could not only make out the people down below, but in the distance he could see the areas surrounding the carnival in the distance, too. "You can see everything up here! You can even see the ocean around Horizon Beach from here!"
He looked up towards his companion, grinning as the ride reached its highest point.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
