General-- the spell check button at the bottom of the posting page). We are open to all levels or writing, but do put your best effort into the content and correctness of your writing. ...The C-Box is naturally exempt from this rule. ♦ This should go without saying, but plagiarism is of course prohibited. ♦ Please follow Proboard's T.O.S., and keep all content PG-13 in accordance with it. This is just a standard Proboard's rule. What this means is that violence, suggestive content, and language can be present, but not in excess or lots of detail - remember to fade to black if necessary. ♦ Please try to remain active. We know that there is much more to life than RPing, and it can be hard to find time, but try and post at least once a week, especially if you have an active thread going with someone else. If any character has been inactive for a month (three weeks, for canons), or has failed to be accounted for in an activity check, they will be deleted, unless you have posted in the "Introductions and Farewells" board to let us know that you'll be gone for a while. Both IC and OOC posts count as activity. If you are deleted for inactivity, and by chance want to rejoin at some point, you can PM the admin or a mod if you want your characters back. However, be aware that your face-claim, and canon position if you had one, will be re-opened upon deletion. If your face claim or position has since been taken, you will be asked to edit your app before being re-accepted. ♦ Only advertise in the dedicated board. You may have a link in your miniprofile page, but no advertising in signatures, PMs, the C-Box, or anywhere else. [/ul]

Roleplaying-- . This is not especially large, and even beginners should be able to accomplish this. If you do have a hard time, just remember to write down what it is your character sees, hears, smells, and feels, how they react to what the other characters in the RP just did or said, what they think about all this, and what they say or are going to do next (what your partner's characters will react to). As long as you put all this in, you should have no problem. ♦ No godmodding or powerplaying! Unless someone specifically gives you permission, it is just irritating and rude. The exception would be if you temporarily take control of another character of yours during a thread - this is allowed. ♦ You cannot kill another person's character without their explicit permission. If you put [DE] (Death Enabled) in the title of your thread, though, this rule is disregarded. Anyone who creates or joins one of these threads puts their characters at risk to be killed by other characters or controlled NPCs during the RP. However, for a death to be official, you must PM an admin or mod so that they can look the thread over, and move the dead character's profile to the "Deceased" board if they approve the death. As a final note, even if a topic is created as [DE], if someone makes one of these threads for the sole purpose of massacring the first character that joins it out of the blue and without warning, that death will not be approved. ♦ 3rd person is the default RPing style of this site. However, it's perfectly fine to experiment with other styles if your RP partners are okay with it. ♦ While not required, consider having a posting order for RPs with more than two people. If arguments come up about this, it is the topic creator who has the final say. ♦ Just to avoid conflicts, it should be noted that when you create and use an NPC in a thread, you are giving other players permission to use that NPC also, unless you specifically state otherwise at first creation. ♦ When an RP thread is completed, it would be appreciated if you could PM the admin or a mod so that it can be moved to the tread archives. RP threads will be considered inactive and moved there if no one posts in them for two months. ♦ Liquid time is definitely allowed - you can have one character in as many threads as you want. Just...try not to go overboard and take every single open thread that pops up. [/ul]
