Zane Haskill. Mimic Claw. Best one in the world. No one is as good at mimicry then myself! Why, just the other day I was standing in Everai, and a woman walked past me, I mimicked her movements PERFECTLY! People were staring in AWE! It was a wondrous day!

On my way back through, I stumbled across a meadow where a group of people were fighting Viruses. I, myself, don't mind the viruses, but a Mimic must mimic anyone entertaining, so I helped them fight. It was fun to say the least! I met the most intriguing man named Doctor Benton! He's my new best friend! I blacked out somewhere along the line though, that seems to happen a lot.

I get ridiculed by people because of my Pink hair, and pink scythe. I return the sling by ridiculing them for NOT Having pink hair and a pink scythe. This works sometimes, but then theres the people that DO have pink hair, and think mine just looks too messy... Then telling them they don't have pink hair doesn't work... I gotta figure something else out.

I joined an institute! Nonono, not a mental Institute, I dont need one of them! I joined the Annulus Institute! Doctor Benton leads our research team. Theres a VIRUS working with us too! How crazy is that! She seems to be the mother of one of the scientists. A little girl with a creepy doll. Then theres a couple of Hollows, one seems kinda abrupt about things, the other seems shy. I didn't know shyness was an Aspect of Hollows.

Hello. My name is Andrew. Andrew Partridge. I am a mimic that works for the VDF. A virus crosses my vision, and it Dies. Slowly and painfully. I am the Reaper of the soulless abominations that are Viruses. No Mercy. There are Rumors circulating around the VDF that a 'good' virus exists, but thats all a load of fairy dust. If I find the Virus that's supposedly good, I'll reap her soulless body too, to squash all of the rumors floating around. The only GOOD virus is a DEAD virus.

My first assignment is to look through Fort Defray for any signs of Virus activity and end it. Why Fort Defray? I have no clue, apparently some rather nasty viruses have been spotted there. My 'informant' says that theres several Wolf-like viruses *childsplay* A small swarm of Coyote-Viruses *Easy Peasy* Plenty of Raven-Viruses *yawn*. But the big picture is the three Manticore-shaped Hybrids up there. The body of a Lion, Wings of a Bat, tail of a Scorpion. First thing Im going to do is Harvest their tails, so they wont De-rez with the rest of the body. Then, Im going to take the Tails and get the venom removed, and sell the Venom on the Black Market. Then, The Ends of the Tails are going to be turned into a pair of Pauldrons and a Helm.

Speaking of Reaping my Harvests. That Good Virus, I hear, Is a dragon. I wonder If I can knock her out and use her scales as a cloak and Horns as Armor. I'd have to skin her alive, but hey, She is a Virus afterall...

Hello. Zane again. It's late. I need sleep. And someone named Andrew has Nefarious Plots to overthrow one of my colleagues in the Institute! He must be stopped, just as soon as I find him. My only clue is what he wrote in my Journal. He was headed to Fort Defray. I headed up that way to find him, and waited, but no one came. Time flew, there were a couple hours where I dont remember anything! One minute Im waiting to find him, the next minute Im walking home, and it's 5 hours later! Something weird is happening by the Fort, Im sure!.


Andrew here. This Zane character is... Off his rocker. He keeps writing in my Journal. Maybe we can keep it up as a means of conversation between the two of us. It seems his ideas are rather... intriguing. I see he works for Annulus alongside the 'Good' Virus that I want to hunt. Maybe I'll work with him until she turns on them, and be the hero when I kill her. Who knows... As for now, I've gotta hunt down some of the Nulls that were said to be still walking Free...


You sir, are Creepy. I would love to keep this going as a means of conversation. We'll write back and fourth in this journal, and keep it as a Log of what we've said and such, maybe you can help with Research Ideas, and I can help with... BAH! Damnit... Of course... The VDF sent a BABYSITTER to assist me. Then, one of the Manticores goes and KILLS ITSELF so I cant take it's tail... I was hoping to use it as a Helmet... BAH! Looks like I'll have to settle for a pair of Pauldrons. Now. I just have to figure out WHERE To take them to get made. Theres the simple places, like down on the docks in the black market areas. Or, I could take it to a professional and pay an arm and a leg for good armor... Where do I wanna take it?

Annulus! You could get your things done at Annulus. Im sure Rosie-Posie would be willing to make the pauldrons for you. She may even do MORE than just simple pauldrons. She can do just about anything technological if she has enough time. I mean, she did make my hat! Speaking of which... Where did it go? I misplaced it. Anyway, just let me know what you want done to the Pauldrons and I'll take them to Rosie.

Hmm. I never thought of doing something like that. I may need some time to think on it. Think about what I TRULY want.. Thank you, Zane, for the idea. You aren't half bad. I feel sorry that I sold your Hat for cash, now. It was... Creepy. The money is in with the Diary, Im suprised you didn't see it when you pulled it out. Meh... I guess... for a Babysitter... Sofia isn't that bad... She's rather radiant, a wondrous claw to get to know... I mean... Bah... I don't know what I mean. Im just saying she's alright... On another note... I should figure out how my Pauldrons are coming along... That's rather important. Well, Zane, If you write later, let me know what you're Girl said... I wanna know how my Armor is Coming along.

Well, Andrew, I think we've figured something out that you'd like a little better, but it'll take a while to perfect. We're working on adding some mechanical components to it, and turning it into a handguard, that you'll be able to propel from your wrists like whips. They'll return to you when you hit a button, and the extra links will fit on your forearms. We're projecting a 3-5 foot whip.

That sounds like it could be an interesting Idea. I almost feel sorry for selling your hat. I can't wait to see your final product, and tell the little lady I said Thank you... I must depart.

Did I tell you, Zane, that the VDF higher ups aren't the brightest? They think I'd be working with those Good For Nothing, Virus Sympathizing, Wannabe Scientist Quacks at Annulus... They really think that I would try to HELP the viruses. I mean, Really... who would work alongside Viruses? PAH! Screw them. Oh, I got your hat back... It's with the book...

WHOOHOO! I got my hat back!!! Thank you, Andrew! Now, as for your question. I'm one of those Good for nothing, Virus Sympathizing Quacks... Wait... No... Im not a Quack, or Good for Nothing. Im working with Annulus to help solve the energy Crisis,and one of our Researchers, the same one that's making your weapons, is researching a Cure to turn Viruses back... Trying to get her mother back.

PAH! Good for nothing Viruses... What makes her think that her mother wants to be turned back, and isn't just trying to eat her? I mean, come on, she is a VIRUS.

Shes a good Virus, Rosies mom is the Legendary Ice Dragon, Alyssa... She's been working with us as well and seems to have her humanity completely intact.

You should introduce me to this Alyssa. I would love to meet her, and acquire some... things from her...

I dunno... I'll let her know you wanna meet her, but It's up to her. I do remember a few pages back you talking about harvesting Dragonscales, so Im not sure if it's such a good Idea... But I'll go talk to her, See you later.
