Alazne nodded, she knew the kind of relationship he was talking about. She didn't think she had ever been in one, not one that she could remember anyway. But she knew those kinds of girls, she had been friends with them in high school. Alazne neither liked nor disliked them, they were simply the ones who had taken her in. The mention of the old rumor about the murders made her frown slightly, spreading rumors wasn't kind, especially serious ones like that. Alazne wondered briefly how the girlfriend had responded to the rumors, but didn't ask, that surely had to be a touchy subject, Zane probably wouldn't want to talk about it. Her cheeks blossomed pink once again, this time accompanied with a wide smile as he winked at her.
Alazne looked back into his eyes, smiling back at him as he spoke. She briefly wondered what she could take the wrong way, her breathing getting slower as she realized what was about to happen. Alazne gazed back into Zane's eyes, the smile still on her face. As Zane leaned forward and kissed her, she met his lips happily. She kept her hand on his cheek, gently holding his face to hers. She continued to kiss him for a few moments before she broke the kiss with a smile. "That was nice..." She mused quietly, hoping that Zane felt the same way as she took her hand off of his cheek.

Zane smiled softly, looking into Alazne's eyes. A few minutes passed, and Zane shook his head. "I... Im sorry, I know this is moving WAAAAAY too fast, we've just met, but I was just... Drawn to you..." He started, stumbling over his words as he talked. He looked down and away from Alazne, and started pacing. "I did like it... but I don't want..." He paused, looking up. "You've got someone. Even if you don't remember him, I don't want to be the one to come between you two." He said with a sigh.
He sat back down on the fallen tree and sighed, seemingly lost in thought. He seemed to be muttering something, but it wasn't audible. Soon, he blinked and looked around. His eyes fell on Alazne with a questioning glance. "Why, Hello there." He said, standing back up. "Who might you be?" He asked with a slight smile.
(BAH Short post, sorry.)

Alazne looked up at Zane with a puzzled look, why was he suddenly having problems with this? She knew there was someone else, and she didn't really care. Her hands subconsciously drifted up to the locket hanging around her neck, her thumbs stroking it with care. Alazne figured that if she didn't remember the other person right now, something must've happened. The more she thought about it, the fuzzier it got. It seemed rather abnormal, now that she came to think about it.
As Zane sat back down on the log with her she tentatively reached out for his hand, he was mumbling something unintelligible. Her eyes were concerned, she vaguely hoped that she hadn't caused this mildly odd behavior. Before she could get up her nerve to actual try to hold his hand, he looked around suddenly. Her hand retracted to her body, going back to her golden locket like a nervous twitch.
Who was she? Was it a joke? That seemed too cruel to be true. Of course, how long had she known Zane? A few minutes, nothing more. Time may be only an illusion, but so was this entire experience. She trusted herself on her subtle judgments of people, and she really didn't believe that Zane would play a joke as idiotic as this. By now her eyebrows were creased together in a look of extreme confusion, but she decided to answer. "My name's Alazne Carter," she told him timidly, scared that this behavior may be a sign of some disease that may turn him violent. "But I thought you could tell that without asking." She reminded him, in case he was simply suffering from some minor amnesia. Alazne really hoped that was the case.
ooc:// Oh hey, look at that, it's a reply. Never thought that would've happened. Impressive, eh?

Zane's eyes widened as Alazne pointed out one of his powers. How did she know that he could see things about her without asking? Did she have a similar skill? No... She wasn't like him. She wasn't psychic either. Something is going on here. He hopped up from his seat, backing up a bit. "How did you know of my ability to see information about someone?" He asked with a growl. His hand moved back onto the end of his Scythe, grabbing it tightly, but not yet removing it from its binds.
How had he gotten here? He just realized that he didn't remember anything up until he saw Alazne. He had to figure out why he kept blacking out... "How did I get here?" He muttured, just barely audible to the Leech before him. "And don't lie to me, or I'll cut you down without another thought." He warned, an anger in his eyes. Had she brought him here? That was the only Logical Explanation.

Alazne's eyes widened in shock and fear, her heart beating up into her throat with anxiety as Zane reached for his weapon. "I-I didn't... Y-you told m-me, earlier." She told him quietly, keeping an eye on his angry looking scythe. She felt tears welling up in her eyes, the confusion was overwhelming. Her hands reached instinctively towards her holster which seemed almost dusty from how long it had gone without being touched.
She felt her face cringe at the anger in his voice. "I-I'm sorry, I d-don't know," Her thoughts turning now to all the ways she may be able to escape. Her wings fluttered in preparation, but she didn't take off in case Zane took that as a reason to attack her. In the competition of fight vs flight, Alazne always chose flight. Of course, she would prefer to not have to make that decision at all.
"P-Please don't threaten m-me." Alazne said with a warning look in her eye, hands still dancing around her revolver. At this point she was trying not to remember what had happened only a few moments ago between her and the man standing in front of her. Maybe she had just been hallucinating, daydreaming. The violent man in front of her seemed more real than the man who had kissed her; and as much as she wanted the other Zane to be real, there was no reasonable explanation that both could exist.

Zane raised an eyebrow slightly. "I... I Told you... NOTHING" He growled, backing up. He was rather confused at the moment, unsure of what happened while he was blacked out. "Just... RAH!" He called, swinging the scythe from his back, but swinging it just short of the Leech in front of him. A panicked look played on his face. His mouth shifted as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out. He shook his head and looked at her through Pleading eyes. "Im sorry.... Just leave me alone... I don't know you... You know of my powers, and I don't tell people, theres something going wrong here. Just leave." He growled.
He put the scythe back into it's place on his back, and sat down on a log, his hands on his forehead. He grumbled, looking up at Alazne real quick, still with a glare, and then looking back down.

Alazne winced again as he yelled, yelping as he swung the scythe towards her. A panic stricken look played across her face as the scythe seemed to just miss her, a sharp inhalation of breath, heart beating faster than it had in a while. For a second, just a second, her world seemed completely clear. The stupor of confusion that had followed her around like a thundercloud following rain finally cut clear. She remembered everything: Danel, the starvation, the locket... She blinked as the scythe flew past her, the daze returning just as quickly, all the memories took to the air. The memory of the clear cut through the trance didn't leave however, and the feeling made her smile. A nice thought, to be completely conscious once again. The question being however, could she achieve the feeling on purpose?
She was brought back to reality as Zane spoke to her in a pleading voice. Zane. A frown played across her face as she remembered that dilemma. Feeling more bold with her sudden epiphany, she spoke back. "You told me, Zane, you did. I couldn't have been hallucinating because I was right." Of course, if this was a hallucination as well, that would make sense. But this entire place was a dream, she reminded herself. You can't hallucinate in a dream. "Maybe you don't remember but that doesn't mean it didn't happen." Alazne said wisely, not quite realizing that she should probably listen to her own advice.
"But... I'll go. I'm s-sorry. I didn't intend t-to startle you." Alazne told him, her stutter coming back as her meekness came back out of the shadow of her epiphany. She reached a hand out towards him, stroking his hair in a comforting motion before retreating off into the trees.

You told me, Zane. That name again. Zane. How is he always mistaken for this Zane? He let out a frustrated growl, and looked at Alazne. "You're mistaken." His voice sounded a bit more calm than before. "I'm not Zane. My name is Andrew." he explained. He shifted slightly as Alazne touched his hair, but didn't react.
He contemplated following after her, but decided it would be against his best interests. He sighed and closed his eyes, sitting back. A few moments later, he opened his eyes with a smile on his face, which faded slightly when he noticed Alazne was gone. "I'll have to find her again someday." he said, Zane apparently back. He stood and started heading away.
Maybe he'd head to annulus to help with research. Or possibly head to Maverick or Clocktower for some R&R. He would head to Everai, hit the hotsprings, but he heard that it was full of viruses lately.
