The sun was beginning to light up the sky, filling it with wispy clouds as pink as grapefruit and turning out the sparkling stars. Purple, pink and orange bursting into the early morning sky and reflecting off the endless water. It was like living in a rainbow. It was one of the most beautiful things Ana has ever witnessed. She sat upright at the edge of the water, bottom stuck in the fine sand. Her bare feet just touched the chilly sea, the water lapping around her little toes. Her white stockings where long lost.
Heavy in her lap lay a fine mess of mud packed into a round disk. It was a great embarrassment if anyone where to catch her playing in the mud like a... child. She turned her attention away from the dazzling sky and back to her concoction, "Ah, the best Strawberry Sky Pie ever made!" Ana giggled to herself. Then she closed her eyes and imagined taking a bite into the flaky crust that enclosed the tangy-sweetness of the strawberries. Glorious. Even though she could not starve (heavens knows she would have by now) she still missed eating.
