Tyger was inside the clock tower, harmlessly examining the gears and mechanics. As if he could harm this building anyway. Who would? It was so extravagant.
He listened with his ears attuned to the sounds, watching the gears move and the sounds click. Click, Click, Click, Click. They rhythmically taunted him as he watched and listened.
Click, Click, Click. His ears now lay flat on his head and his eyes closed before yelling out, "Why do you mock me?" with hand gestures that just said "Why?" Of course, the inanimate tower wasn't going to respond to him with anything else other than Click, Click, Click. He grunted, before starting to take notes that would be illegible to anyone else but himself. He would have to straighten them out at home for Rosie.
BUNG. The chimes roared startling Tyger. He jumped up and clung to a high part of the wall. Looking around with wide eyes before slowly calming down. He chuckled nervously, returning to write in his notes and sketch the designs. It was very intricate note taking, and if read carefully anyone would really be able to pick up on the "language." His assault rifle was also left on the desk, somewhat away from his notes.
His levels of paranoia went up, as he kept checking behind him to be sure there was no one. Click, Click, Click, mocked the egomaniac of a clock tower. Click, Click, Click.

Sophia slunk through the alleyways, as she did daily. This time she was on her way to the Clock Tower for some training. She made sure no one was watching as she pushed the door open, sliding into the shadows of the Clocktower. She pulled her Duster and hat, setting it aside and stretching.
She started out slowly, hoping up between gears and bars. She climbed the tower swiftly and effortlessly. She made her way up through the tower slowly, stopping and hanging from a bar when she heard a yell. She looked down and saw the other beast, about 50 feet under her. She held the bar tightly as the bell tolled, laying her ears flat as it did. She looked down and noticed the beast hugging the wall in fear. She let out a slight giggle, before making her way back down.
Sticking to the shadows as she moved, she silently made her way down. Crouching on a narrow ledge, watching the other with intrigue. She grinned, looking between him and her coat. He hadn't noticed it, apparently. That means she still held the element of surprise. She shifted, pushing off of the wall and toward the other beast silently, aiming to tackle him. "Why, Hello." She said with a playful growl.

As Tyger was note taking, he did not realize Sophia was lurking in the shadows of the clock-tower. He wasn't even paying attention to looking for people in the clock-tower, actually. Who would really even hang out there? He thought his notes and sketches were going fine, just dandy, when Sophia came out of no where and ended up tackling Tyger.
Tyger now laid on the floor, tackled by Sophia and somewhat far from his weapon. "Hello..." he meekly waved to her, wondering what her motives truly were. If she had wanted to kill him, after all, she would have done so by now. He gave off a weak smile and look at the newcomer curiously.
The newcomer made enough sound that Tyger was not listening to the clock tower anymore, and the clicks of the gears were no longer bothering the anthropomorphic feline. "You seem to have disturbed my work..." he said, playing don't shoot the messenger.

"Hello." Sophia said in response, a grin on her face. She remained on top of Tyger, a growl hinting at her voice. She raised an eyebrow, seeing that he didn't seem intimidated in the least.
She leaned up, still sitting on his lap. "You're a Beast. Most beasts would fight back, to show who the superior is. Why aren't you?" She asked, scratching her head softly. She looked at him through bored eyes as he talked about her interrupting his work. "Work..." She repeated, picking up his notebook and looking at it. A confused look crossed her face. She tossed the notebook aside and looked at him with a questioning gaze. "What kind of work do you do?" She asked. This male wasn't going to fight back, that was pretty obvious... She lightened up a bit, but stayed seated where she was, almost forgetting she was even on him.
"What's your name, Cat?" She asked, crossing her arms across her chest. "Im Sophia Flynn." She said with a slight smile, tapping at the collars on her neck absentmindedly, her claws clicking lightly against them.

"Why I would be Tyger, and I-I..." He thought about it for a moment, "What do I do?" He stayed where he laid, thinking it over for a while. "I suppose I research?" His mind was completely taken off of his troubles, even as Sophia sat on him.
"Well, I don't really want to cause a fight, ohh no, no fight..." Tyger replied, "I replenish energy by hunting the morally wrong or karmatically bad." He nodded, looking up at her. "Dominance? Oh, no... My wife, Viruses..." he said, playing with his ring. "I-I lost my wife to viruses. S-She was more dominant, really, I didn't mind..."
He shook his head, forgetting about it, and relaxing where he was. "Well, what brought you to... The ClockTower!" he asked, gazing at her with curious yet tired eyes. He squirmed slightly under her before relaxing again.
"You don't find the mechanics of... Of this magnificent structure simply amazingly?" Tyger asked, "Well, then, what are you into?.. What-What do you do?" She didn't seem like she was going to hurt him, and seemed to actually be calm and relax. This was rare in this world... To be calm and actually relax in a flawed paradise.

Sophia let out a light laugh, this... Tyger was interesting to say the least. "It's nice to meet you, Tyger." She thought about his policy on fighting for a small while, and grinned. "Im about the same, but if you just harvest the unjust, what're you going to do when they run out?" She asked.
He spoke of a wife, and played with a ring on his finger. "A wife, eh. One you say was turned into a Virus? I suppose that's hard... My parents became viruses the moment we got her, so I had to kill them... Have you found someone to replace your wife?" She asked softly, placing her hands on his stomach and pressing down lightly.
"What do I do? What am I doing in the Clocktower? The same thing any beast should do... Training to get stronger." She muttered, shifting on top of him, before hopping up, allowing him up. "I mean, the Viruses are leaving Defray... Ive gotta train somewhere, right?"

"True, true" He replied, "I have thought about it... And I imagine good people are going to die if something isn't done... Good people are d-dying now, actually."
"Well, I would consider it, but my wife isn't dead. Not that I know of, though, I suppose she is a virus..." Tyger said, "It has been eight years..." He became nervous when Sophia asked him if he'd found someone else. Though, for the last eight years, he's not sure he's ever come in contact this much with another female, or person even. He couldn't quite remember.
"What about you? Do you have someone special?" Tyger asked innocently. He sat up when Sophia got off of him. He collected his notebook, neatly placing it on the table surface that he was originally sketching it on.
"Training to get stronger?.. Is something I should do, but I do not" He sighed, "We, we never really were anything more but mammals."

Sophia sat down on the edge of 'Tygers' table, crossing one leg over the other as he spoke. "You've considered it, eh? Did you have anyone in mind?" She leaned back, resting against the wall behind her. She sighed when he asked her about any relationships she had. "Well... There was this beast... We were pretty close, but he was lost during one of the Virus raids on the Fort..." She muttered, turning her head away from him for a couple moments, not wanting to show weakness.
She shook her head and looked back at Tyger. She smiled at him softly as he mentioned training. "I don't know. You could always just partner yourself with someone that could fight. I know quite a few people like that." She said softly, winking at him. She chuckled at her comment, then looked up between the gears. "Or, Your mate can show you how they train, and help you with it?" She smiled, looking back at him.

He looked to Sophia curiously, "Why no... I actually don't have anyone in mind" He replied, and smiled at her remark about finding someone.
"Do you think, perhaps..." He continued nervously, "That someone could be you?" He them put his head down and laid his ears flat on his head, tilting his head at Sophia. He wanted to bring up his troubles and his wife, but he didn't think that'd be the right thing to do. Also, considering he was talking out of emotion more than brain, he looked stressed.
He sat against a wall as well, sighing. "It's so conflicting... You seem to show interest, you're interesting, but my wife is still alive. I don't really know what to do, anymore, really..."
"Eight years, time. Time..." Tyger said, "Time wasted, being alone, will it end? Will they be able to convert viruses? Time isn't looking good... At all."
It seemed like he was starting to talk to himself more, but he wasn't. It was his troubles starting to overlap each other again. "I'm sorry Sophia, I-I'm rambling, I should stop talking..." He returned his focus to her.

She slid from the table as he spoke, and stopped in her tracks as he asked about her being his someone. "Well... Im a lone wolf, Im a fighter, and My free time is spent training. You're a Curious Cat, you dont look like much of a fighter, and you spend your time researching." She said, looking at him with a grin. "But I think we could find a... common ground." She said with a laugh. She moved closer to him and put her arms around him.
"I'll be completely honest. I haven't really been with anyone for... A long time." She said with a smile, Nuzzling her cheek against Tygers. "Tell me, What would you do for me?" She said with a grin.
"You're talking is fine. I'm not much of a talker myself, usually, but you talking can get me talking, maybe." She said with a smile.

A chill was sent up Tyger's spine as Sophia got close. He also gave out a light purr, as he nuzzled her cheek back. For the first time in eight years, it was like all of his worries had truly gone away. It was an interesting feeling indeed, as he put his arms around Sophia as well.
"I haven't really been with anyone either..." Tyger muttered, holding her tightly. He gave a short pause for her question, mulling over it, "Well, I suppose I would do anything you want." He gave it a really general answer, because he didn't really know what to answer. If this continued though, it probably would be anything.
He continued his light purring, "Anything, except the things I'm against..." Everything seemed fluent, and clear. Everything seemed so much better, with contact from another person after so long. He snuggled into Sophia, and looked at her curiously.
"Do you have any hobbies?" Tyger asked, "Like, I'm here because this is pretty much a hobby for me. It's not really contributing to anything other than my own pleasure... My own intelligence. I mean, I do other things, like walk around a lot. I love the scenic views... Even if, well... Fake."

"Come on..." She started, nipping at his ear playfully, "What do you WANT to do for me?" She asked with a grin. She still held her arms around him, enjoying the feel. She raised an eyebrow as he explained. "What are you against, then?" She asked questioningly.
Hobbies... Sophias hobbies were Surviving, and getting stronger to survive... Not the best repertoire of hobbies for an interesting life to others... She chuckled slightly. "Nothing really interesting... I like to train, to get stronger and quicker, like I was doing..." She said resting her chin on his shoulder for a few minutes, before pulling away from him slowly, a playful grin on her face. "Think you can make it to the top of the clocktower?" She asked with a nudge to his stomach.

Tyger's ear twitched as he nuzzled her cheek again, he thought about it for a bit as he continued his light purr. "Well, I kind of... want you..." he replied rather meekly, ignoring the certain things he's against. He looked at her playfully, eagerly, and somewhat lustfully.
He was putting off the "get to the top of the clocktower." "Well, I don't think I can get up there as fast as you can, you know..." Tyger replied, "After all, I use a gun for my weapon..." he looked over to his M4
"No, I'm not fast compared to you, probably" he replied, "I'd much rather just... Watch you." He smirked pawing at Sophia in a playful manner.
He put a hand to Sophia's cheek and gazed into her eyes. He started to bring his face closer to hers. If she followed, he would continue on and kiss her. If not, then it would be a really awkward situation, wouldn't it?

Sophia grinned as Tyger spoke, kissing his cheek softly. "Well, You can have me..." She said, returning his gaze. She licked his cheek playfully and backed away from him, crouching low and staring at him.
"Im sure, hun, If you wanted to get up there, you could. Come on. Just leave your gun here, and let's go." She challenged, moving toward the spot that she usually started. "It's pretty simple to do, if you set your mind to it." She winked with a chuckle.
She smiled as he made the mention of speed. Taking it as a compliment. She pawed at him back and laughed. "Of course you'd just want to watch me. Who wouldn't?" She said with a playful growl.
She looked at him for a few moments as he brushed her cheek, a slight smile on her face. She blinked as he leaned closer, and paused for a few moments. She brushed his cheek softly, dragging her claws lightly along his skin. She leaned in and returned the kiss happily.

He smiled at Sophia after their kiss, putting his arms around her and holding her close. He nuzzled her, ignoring the challenge to get to the top for the moment. Well, really just putting it off.
"You know, I really haven't been with anyone" He said quietly, purring at her, "It's really nice to have met you..."
He hugged her tightly, purring at her and keeping the hug in a lock. Tyger was just enjoying the moment. He was relaxed and for the moment it seemed as if everything just felt right.
It seemed like everything got quiet, including the clock tower. Tyger was blocking out the sounds of everything far listening to only what was near, only to Sophia. There was a feeling in him that told him that at least for this moment, it was going to be alright. It was nothing but a pressure in his chest that overcame him and led him to where they are now. It was something that wasn't going to go away easily. It was something he didn't even want to go away anyway.
After all, his wife was a virus. There was no guarantee that she was ever coming back. It's already been about eight years. his thoughts shifted, but then his thoughts drew nothing but blanks. He wanted to forget and just live in this moment. The moment.
