Skye flinched as he heard the Siren give out a last scream, cut off abruptly as the shadowed figure gripped it completely shattered the chip that'd been formally hidden within it's neck. The entire shape of his foe instantly dissipated almost all at once, but instead of watching, he closed his eyes as he felt the warm energy move instead to his own body. He quickly felt revitalized as the life came back to him, making a smile spread it's way across his face. The physical form of the shadow, his own puppet, quickly began to fade away, as well, no longer needed. Then his grin abruptly disappeared. What a terrible thing to smile about. He'd just killed someone. Of all the races that roamed the world he'd called home for the past 10 years, why did he have to have been born into it as a Beast? Then again, even if all the other races didn't have to kill directly, any form of energy theft was still an act of bringing someone closer to death, just in smaller intervals. It wasn't that different...right? All he wanted was his own survival, just like anyone else, and he had as much of a right to fight for it as anyone else, too. He hadn't done anything wrong! Nothing... The boy, stuck perpetually at age 11, sighed slightly, trying to convince himself as he started walking absently through the green surroundings of the Ring Woods. His home was back on the outskirts of Clocktower Boulevard. ...His mom would probably be waiting for him. He shivered. Hopefully the Hollow had already found someone else to feed off of, today. But either way, he still felt his feet drawn towards his home, and the only family he had left. The boy just kept walking, mostly lost in his own thoughts. Before too long, though, he felt another shiver creep up his spine. ...He wasn't quite sure why, but something didn't feel quite right. He quickly glanced around. In a world like this, letting your guard down, even for a moment, could prove to be a fatal mistake - there were many who would gladly do away with him for the sake of their own survival, just as he'd done to the Siren only moments ago. Such was the way of things here. "I...is someone there?" He called out somewhat nervously, not necessarily sure of whether or not he expected, or hoped, for an answer. He spread his crow wings, considering taking to the air - an act which would spend a lot of his recently gained energy. He didn't see anyone standing nearby as he glanced around...though. Maybe his mind was just playing tricks on him... Still slightly anxious, he eventually decided to just keep padding along forward on foot, cautiously folding his wings again. After all...the city wasn't too terribly far away, now.
