So, I ask a lot of questions and quite frequently. And I suppose that should go to your benefit as well. I didn't think all the answers given would be edited into race profiles or anything, and some are minor details - But I would like to share them anyways and hopefully help you better understand too! These are actual questions I've asked and answers from Tears, the owner and head admin.

Q - Citizens do not become sick in this world, and it has been said that they are only effected by the distortions and conversions of viruses. What sort of effects do these distortions have on the regular citizens of the world? Does it vary between species? Are hollows effected by the distortion as well?
A - A distortion will effect the shape or function of their bodies (In mostly random ways, unless the Virus chose to change them consciously) and sometimes their minds. Making them unstable. It would be a bit like being sick in a way, except that it would be much more visible in most situations. if they become too distorted, their bodies might loose it's shape all together, which is what would kill them. They can also be converted to viruses through the distortion, but only if the Virus choose to reshape them this way.
If they both survive and the Citizen is not converted, most of the effects from the distortions would fade again when they are out of range from the Virus that caused them. The raced are all effected the same, including hollow, except for other Viruses, whom are immune to the distortions all together. Distortions are basically the only thing that can affect the people's well-being, aside from energy loss or if their chip is destroyed.
Q - Leeches are based on vampires in a parasitic way. In the way of biting other to gain energy, are they able to control the amount of energy they take without killing the victim?
A - Yes, they can. Beasts are the only race that actually have to kill directly in order to claim energy each time they need it. Leeches are able to absorb as much or as little as they want when they bite another. Each time they take energy brings the victim closer to death unless the victim gains more energy themselves after wards. But they don't have to take all of it or kill the victim directly unless they choose to. So they only have to take as much energy as they need when they absorb it from someone else.
Q - Hollows are technical based in a lot of ways, so can they effect the coding of the world in any way? Like being able to disappear through it and 'teleport' somewhere else? or even chance something in a location without it qualifying as a distortion?
A - Hollows are limited to being able to affect their own bodies, and what abilities they have varies depending on what parts of their body appear mechanical. However, things like going through walls or teleportation might be possible for some of them, as this could be seen as affecting themselves more so than the environment around them.
Q - Beasts are half beast in appearance, but can they shift into full forms of their animal sides? Like, persay, if one was half cat could they transform into a full cat?
A - Yes, they can transform fully into their creature like a shifter with the use of energy. It is similar to how all the raced can Hide their inhuman features with it.
Q - If a Virus is killed or dies, does it's distortion go away and the area return to normal?
A - In most cases, it likely will. However, certain things that were made to be permanent, such as another person being converted to a virus, wouldn't change. Also, if someone died from the distortion, they would not be brought back even if the Virus has died. Only the environment is prior to reverting to normal after a Virus dies.
Q - Do Viruses give energy too when they are killed or fed on?
A - No. Trying to feed off them would probably only cause distortion to the one who was trying to do so.
Q - Can people still eat even if they don't need to or taste anything?
A - No.
Q - Do Leech's wings ever change throughout time without buying a character apparel change?
A - Yes, as long as it's not a drastic change, I don't see why not.
Q - Are there modern aged items in this world such as computer, cell-phones, etc?
A - Since they're in a virtual environment, many of the functions that were controlled by things like computers can be done in other ways. For instance, at the cost of energy, anyway, people can communicate telepathically (there's a bit of a more detailed explanation on the Communication board description). That kind of replaced cell phones, but it depends on what kind of item it is. TVs, for instance, would probably still exist.
Q - Are there any infamous gangs in the world, bad or good?
A - Interesting thought. I don't know why there wouldn't be gangs, but I don't have any conceptualized or made. If someone wanted to start a gang with a character or mention a gang in NPC or history format, it would be fine.
Q - Is there any way to change a character's age to a higher age if they are still a child?
A - Unfortunately not. They're all stuck the same age they were when the conversion happened. That is what's unfortunate for characters like Skye.
Q - In the blank pages, since a regular citizen can control the environment, what do you mean others wont perceive it as the same?
A - In all the areas, the character's can change their own perception of the environment somewhat both consciously or subconsciously. However, since it's only in their mind and how they perceive it (it's not actually a real, physical change like the Virus' distortion, though it may feel that way to them), the changes wouldn't affect anyone else. The Blank.Pages area is essentially just a sandbox area to allow people to RP in whatever kind of environment that they want. The Shared.Blanks and Residential.Area are the only places where normal races can alter how others perceive things, not just themselves.
Q - Is it painful to be changed into a Virus?
A - Probably quite, since distortion itself can be painful
Q - Is there a way to appeal to the person inside that had changed into the Virus and get them back to their common sense?
A - Ah, now that would be where some creative license would come in. Viruses are usually rather empty and without passed memories, but if a character believes that they can reach someone who was turned into one or make them remember, they just may be able to~ I don't imagine them being completely unreachable.
