Aroku had his blade prepared for the overpowering swipe, but it never came in contact as a sheet of water blocked it for him. Just in time, he was getting a bit unoptimistic of the battle and was almost certain he’d not make it against a one on one match between this large lion. It seemed this nest was much like an ant nest, it had regular workers, and it had the big ass soldiers who were much stronger. Hopefully there was not an abundance of these deeper in, or they’d surely not make it. As if there were few, they’d probably be able to take them in a team effort. But Aroku couldn’t think of that now, watching as the large black furred lion bundled over to the hollow, whom he had heard and seen not even a few minutes ago.
The lion was distracted, attacking the strange hollow with one glass like eye. He was trying his best to find his chip, but it hid its energy well. It would take someone with experience in that certain field to find such a small chip on a large Virus that was intentionally hiding it’s energy. He knew it was not in the paws or the head… and he’d slashed a gash in it’s chest… His own attention was diverted by a boy calling him ‘Onii-chan’. He glanced up, watching him point out the chip and call the cat ‘chan’. Well, what a convenient occurrence. Aroku smiled to himself, giving a nod in acknowledgement. Time to kill this old cat. The leech kept one hand on his sword, sprinting up to the large cat from the side, then grasped his other hand around the hard handle, his hands fitting perfectly to the sword as he looked on with sheer determination for the kill. As long as it was distracted… let the hollow be the joke and Aroku the punch line.
As soon as he got close, he swung his sword up to cleave into it’s stomach and damage/destroy the chip. But he wasn’t quick or silent enough, the lion rearing its head and letting off a loud bellowing sneer. Displaying is ferocity as it struck the leech with its enormous paw with such sheer force that his sword flew across the dirt, clattering against a gathering of rocks and becoming wedged in their rubble. His red framed glasses falling from his face and shattering on the ground in large and little shards as the frame became awkwardly bent and crooked. Aroku was quick to try and retreat, side stepping, but the lion evaded, blocking the two combatants from each other as it mauled Aroku to the ground, pinning him to the dirt as it growled. It’s black tail twitching in irritation. It showed its jaws, ready to decapitate him with one savage snap of it’s jaws around his neck. Aroku only grinned, “Baka.”
The Virus and the leech were both encased in a quick swirl of winds, swirling around them so fast that it picked up dirt, rock, and grass alike. The sound of the hissing wind becoming louder as the rocks flew around in circles and the dark brown whirlwind, tainted by dirt. Mainly a distraction, the rocks could be used as a minor offense. Aroku kicked the best square in the chest, moving it enough to move. He slipped out from underneath it, maneuvering around it as it was busy growling and swiping at the rocks to protect itself from the cuts they induced. Aroku fiddled with his shoe, finding a small dagger within that he’d recently acquired… too bad it was a one time use. He stabbed the belly of the beast, using both hands to push it as deep as possible. This obviously caught the attention of the Virus, as the painful screams and gnarls were heard from behind the veil of wind, making it seem like bloody murder. While in fact it was- without the blood.
Aroku slashed its belly open, watching it try to mend the wound with the black substance inside that could have been identified as blood, but did not drip to the ground. Time to act fast, even if he hated what he was about to do. He thrust his hand inside, shuddering involuntary at what he was feeling as he reached his hand up, finding a small hint of energy. The Virus was trying it’s best to move, but that was a hard thing to do when there were stones pummeling you and someone searching inside you. Aroku clenched his fist around a metal object and tore it from it’s place. An inhuman screech was heard and the Virus hit the ground, shaking the earth with it’s weight and it soon started to dissipate like ash, the black melting and peeling away until nothing was left except that lingering glow of its eyes that also soon vanished like neon lights.
The wind suddenly dropped and all the stones fell from their places, plummeting to the ground. And so followed the dirt, pouring in a dust cloud unto Aroku and causing a large sweep of clouds that bellowed out close to the ground. Aroku coughed into his arm, brushing off the dirt from his hair and his suit. His eyes looked much more vivid and clear without his glasses, a true beautiful sight for sure, but he looked at dismay when he saw his glasses were broken. Sure, he may not need them in this world… but they were his sister’s glasses. He pressed his lips together in a small grimace, gathering up the broken frame that littered shards hued brilliant sparkling red from the frozen sunset. Aroku picked up his sword as well, cutting the slab of rock to get it free and sheathing his sword. As soon as he was done weeping over his lose of the only item left of his sister’s existence, he folded the wrecked frames, tucking them away, and walked over to the hollow. This was no time to be sad…
“Thank you… I appreciate it.” Aroku opened his palm to reveal the square chip that had blue and green hues of wires and such for programming. He broke it in half, handing the hollow one half for helping him- it was only fair. That way the energy would be split between them. It was likely the entire thing held a lot of energy, so Aroku decided to save it for when he was in immediate danger, pocketing the half and staring out to the group not too far away. They were being swarmed by Viruses, although most of them were easy, it would still be trouble. And the ones tougher, like the pervious live lion Virus, would be very difficult to defeat without help. The corners of his mouth tightened in a grimace and he quickly walked towards them, drawing his sword again and cut down Virus in twain, finding their chips and destroying them, sending waves of energy across the group as he rejected most of it. They needed it as well. And if they died, they would not last in the long run. Hell, they hadn’t even gotten into the nest yet and a good chunk was gone.
As soon as he cleaved a good path, he ran ahead, jumping off the ground and flying into the air. Finding that a woman was having trouble against a rather mean and large dragon… Another formidable opponent. He’d have to get over his troubles with the situation and help as best as he could. So he flew strait for it, his sword in his grasp as he came from the back, grabbing one of it’s wings and using his sword to hack at it repeatedly, digging into the bone with each slash. Its shriek reached across the field, as it twirled around, trying to shake the crazy leech off it’s back- as it couldn’t reach it. It’s tail swished up at Aroku, hitting him against it’s rough back and making him gasp out, loosing any air he had left in his lunges from the previous attack. He choked out, keeping a good hold on it, and forced himself to continue trying to detach it’s wing so it wouldn’t have the upper ground- literally.

The boy watched the red-haired nii-chan struggle again with the neko-chan, before finally killing it. The boy wore his best cute smile and clapped quickly. "Hee hee, Good job Nii-chan!" He said, finishing his clapping and keeping his hands clasped together as he said "Can you let Miha-chan show you my beautiful suijin, ne ne?" He said. The red haired leech had given him a good show, so the little child decided to give him a reward. Suddenly, his beautiful blue and silver wing glowed with a faint blue light before it turned into a silvery blue substance, water like in nature. The water seperated into two puddles as it floated slowly around Miharu. The boy giggled as the larger puddle formed into a cat with a bell and bow. Despite being made of a silver liquid, the bell made a high, clear tinkling noise as the cat sat primly on Miharu's shoulder, leaning forward ever slightly, it's silver eyes focused on the smaller puddle as it began to form into a miniscule silver mouse with an identical, if not smaller, bow with a bell on it. As several people who were finished with a battle watched, the tiny mouse moved at an agile speed, before leaping impossibly high and scrambling into the slightly open mouth of a virus. The cat meowed loudly as the mouse disappeared down the virus' throat. "Ne ne, alright Suijin, go eat the mousie!" He said, and the cat meowed again, before gracefully leaping off the child's shoulder and sprinting towards the virus. Suddenly, right before they collided, the cat turned into a monster like creature with a giant, blood stained mouth and swallowed the virus whole, before compacting back into a cat with a slightly bloody mouth and a dead mouse in it's mouth. "See, nii-chan? Miha-chan can fight with Suijin-chan!" A shudder ran down the siren's spine as he saw a lithe beautiful silver cat turn into a ugly monster that swallowed a terrified virus whole before becoming a small cat again but with a bloody silver mouse in it's mouth. He didn't want to meet the owner of that technique. At this emotion, the dark red tiger turned into a skittish dark blue mare, normally almost defenseless against a virus, but being a battle animal, it's hooves were sharpened to a razor point and it was probably full of maternal instincts to protect him. The mare rolled her eyes as she reared, slicing another hound virus trying to get at Yuki, though the two struggled for a few minutes before the siren intervened, calming down as he smoothly sliced the hound on the side of the neck, cracking the chip and the injured dog bounded away, yelping as it disappeared. The mare then slowly shifted into a light blue leopard. The leopard glared dangerously at the viruses bounding to meet the attacking party before leaping into the fray snarling.

Virus Defence Entrance "THIS......ENDS......NOW!" The voice echoed across the battlefield. A heavy smoke surrounded everyone as Angel appeared in the middle, swinging his sword like a pendulum. "I am disappointed that it came to this...." Angel sighed as his three assistant viruses surrounded Angel. Angel winced as spotted Ayame, sighing as he glanced at everyone, How could this happen...... Angel blinked as he took a step back, screeching, as a barrier appeared around every virus within 10 yards. Angel winced for a moment, 10 seconds wasn't long, but it was long enough. Angel activated all his items as he flashed a bright blue, shining in the battle field, holding his two swords. Def ^ Attk v Speed ^^ Acc, v
Assistant 1 The lizard like virus watched the battlefield. His dual submachine guns, smoldering black as he fired at miharu, his bullets only blocked by Angel's barrier. He was definately no ordinary virus, he had been under Angel's teachings, and he wouldn't die without an epic fight. The virus sighed as he waited for 10 seconds to pass, soon sprinting across the battlefield, spraying both guns at everyone with a evil smile as he crushed a crystal, turning him into shadows. "......" Stealth ^ movement v
Assistant 2. The hawk headed virus grunted in sorrow as he watched his brothers die in battle. the barrier blocking his movement, as he drew a picture for a moment. A nod and soon sprinting the instant the barrier was released. A grunt was heard as he charged at miharu, shooting a fire ball to distract him, as he activated a duplicate speed crystal, his body changin slightly, as his movement increased, in a moment the virus appeared behind miharu, holding the gun sword at him, the gun firing a huge bullet. sadly only a taser bullet was fired. Angel had made sure bullets weren't fired lethal until forced. would the tazer shot hit or miss?. Assistant 3 A wolf like virus, hiding in the shadows, as he watched the enemies, holding out his sniper, curious of the people.

Sophia and John hopped from the back of the Rhino. John looked up and saw the two dragons fighting. One calling for help to get the others chip. Both were viruses, but the one seemed to be helping them. He charged forward, Sophia in close step behind him. He used his power of wind to make a Tailwind, propelling themselves faster. The two hopped upwards, and Sophias eyes faded to black the shadowy blades became tangible, passing through the Black Dragons scales before resolidifying. The Dragon roared out in pain as it started to deres. Alyssa let it go and shifted back into her 'normal' form. The trio looked over toward Angel as he called out. John and Sophia looked at each other with a nod, running toward the two visible assistants. Sophia toward the Lizard, John toward the Bird.
John shot at the gun that the Hawk-headed hybrid had, attempting to knock it out of the way before the round hit the kid. He didnt know that the bullet was non-lethal. "YOU WOULD DARE ATTACK A CHILD?" His voice boomed as he rushed toward the hawk, propelled forward by his wind. He lunged at the Bird, shooing at it a couple times, and fading from sight, appearing on the other side of it and shooting a few more times.
Sophia was about to slash at the Lizard when it turned into shadows. Sophia laughed with a bestial rumble echoing from her throat. She held a hand up and controlled the Shadows that the lizard had faded into, starting to solidify it. "Wonderful plan of yours. I love it, you Scaly bastard." She said with a grin. One of her shadowy blades returned to her hand, ready to rend the shadows that the lizard had became.
Alyssa moved toward Angel slowly, deep gouges in her arm. "You aren't a Virus. Why are you fighting on their side? These viruses only know how to harm people. We're fighting to save the world from them. So we don't have to live in fear of them." She said with a slight growl. This siren was... counterproductive. She looked around, making sure there was none of the taskforce around her. There were some viruses around them, but that was okay. She let go of her control over her Distortion. The ground under her frosting over, spires of ice starting to form. "You will NOT stand in my way." She said, her voice frigid, and ice cold. She shifted forms back into her dragon form and breathing her ice around the two of them, creating a dome that neither of them would be able to escape from. "You wish to fight on the Viruses side, you will suffer the same fate as them." Her voice echoed inside of the small dome, seeming to come from all sides.
Zane called out the command, the same one that the owner of this ability had called out "LUNA BLITZKRIEG!" The lights around him shooting out in all directions, hitting the viruses surrounding him. A couple of stray lights shot in each direction, two cascading toward the entrance, one toward a small Task Force collection, and one toward the giant ice-dome that had appeared, exploding and causing a hole that covered up almost instantly. Zane fell onto his back, tired. "That was... Interesting.I may have to encode that one instead of this... Plant growth thing." he said, smiling softly as he did so. he hopped back to his feet and looked toward the entrance, that had to be where they were going and there were no viruses guarding it. He ran toward it and hopped in, looking around and investigating the structure, unsure of what he'd find.

Smoke suddenly appeared from the center of the battlefield, Sofia whirling to see a Siren appear with several Virus that someone seemed to be in tow with him. He cried out for this to end, making his intentions clear as he and his Virus tried to go against the fighters.
She cursed internally. What the hell did he think he was doing? Immediately abandoning what she was doing, she rushed towards him, reloading her gun on the way. When she got there, Ms. Alyssa was already there, the cold chill of her distortion turning the ground to ice as she glared at him. Sofia joined her. "It is as she says. We are doing this for the good of everyone and for the safety of this world we live in. Stand down, or be declared an enemy of the VDF." Another woman, Elizabeth, who appeared to be a Siren as well, was standing relatively nearby to Angel. She shook her head, slight tears in her eyes. It was obvious that the violence of the battle was having an effect on her. "No! All this fighting, it can't be right! There's got to be some other way...the Viruses...they were just normal people..." She insisted, her voice shaky. Sofia sighed. She understood their pain and hesitation, but it changed nothing. Her voice rose as she spoke again, the VDF soldier practically yelling. "'Were' is the key word. The Viruses are nothing more than puppets - a mockery of the people they once were! We're doing this to stop anyone else from losing their lives to them, either through death or through becoming one of them. We're doing everything we can to end this and make this world a better place! Don't you understand that!? If we don't, more and more people will die, more and more normal people will become Viruses themselves! We wont let that happen! You wont interfere!" With that, the woman's face turned into a cold, determined grimace, the Claw holding out her gun in the direction of the two Sirens. Skye gasped, rapidly feeling the solidified shadow that he was controlling start to fall from his control. There'd been some sort of distraction - smoke coming from somewhere on the battlefield, and no one yet had come to finish off the Virus he'd been holding down. He lost control for just a moment, and the Virus charged upwards, slashing him across the chest with large claws. He let out a painful scream, quickly trying to pull away and regain control of the shadow. It hurt...but no matter how painful it was, it wouldn't be fatal unless the Virus' blows destroyed his chip. Taking a deep, ragged breath, he managed to retake control of the creature's shadow, making it grab the thing by the underbelly and drag it back down to the ground. But this time it didn't go down so easily, the Virus managing to grab the boy's left foot as it dragged him down with it. "Aaaaaahh!" This time Skye gave out an absolute, terrified shriek - his chip happened to be in his left ankle. Whether or not the Virus had known it, he didn't think there was any chance the creature could miss the frantic, rapid pulsing there now. Leanne just managed to dodge to the side as the Virus who'd knocked her over brought down another claw where she'd been standing only moments before. The Virus had chosen the wrong target - she wouldn't go down so easy! Calling upon her abilities, a large sonic boom-like blast sounded, the force of it sending it and another nearby stunned Virus to the ground. Not wasting a moment, she charged forward, tearing her axe through the Virus all the way from it's chest to the tip of its tail. It shrieked and vanished - she'd hit the chip. Grinning, she spun and managed to do the same to the other one, destroying it too, when she heard a awful, terrified shriek. Whirling, she saw what looked like a young, panicked Beast child struggling to escape the hold of a Virus. It was the same boy who'd helped her out before. He was scrapping against the ground and frantically flapping his wings in a mess of black feathers in a desperate attempt to escape, but it was to no avail. The Virus seemed to be held down by some sort of solidified shadow, but it wasn't letting go of its hold. The Leech rushed forward, charging the creature with her axe. It took a few hits this time, but on the third swing she made the lucky hit - the creature cried out and disintegrated. The claw-like hand that had gripped his leg fading, Skye whirled to face her, still panting. "T...thanks. If you hadn't come...I would've...!" His voice was clearly shaken. Leanne just snorted. "Now we're even. But I didn't do it for you, kid. It was just another Virus to kill." With that, she glanced around. It seemed a Siren was trying to interfere with the mission. It was that boy - she'd seen him before. He'd really come, huh? He really was persistent, but coming here had been foolish. Frowning for a moment, she then gave a sigh and turned her gaze away. She felt no need to get involved in the conflict there. Her mission was clear. Instead, she looked back towards the entrance of the nest, noticing that people who weren't finishing off the last few Viruses out here or conversing with Angel had started heading towards the entrance itself. Some, including a Claw man and a few other curious looking fighters, had even stepped inside. That looked much more interesting - they couldn't dawdle out here forever - they'd come to get inside that nest! She suddenly took off towards it, pacing a cautiously glance around to make sure no Viruses were coming as she stepped inside. Skye blinked as he got to his feet, still shaken, he didn't want to get involved it whatever conflict was going on near the center, and the rest of the Viruses out here seemed like they were getting taken care of. Instead, he followed after his rescuer without saying anything, the two of them slowly entering the nest. What would be inside? Would there be more Viruses waiting? The Beast, as well as the Leech despite the fact she'd never admit it, were both as nervous as they were curious. [/blockquote]

Post by AYAME HARUYA on Aug 14, 2010 4:09:53 GMT -8
Ayame was cornered by a pack of hyena like creatures - a hybrid perhaps as some where larger and slightly altered. They could easily been defeated singularly or maybe in pack of three or so. But taking on such a large number of even - eight wasn't easy. Claws and teeth - quite thick, sharp and powerful and that too over topped with speed. "Damn..They're tough!" she admitted. Quickly drawing out her sword she quickly finished the first three four. Her Blade seemed to react to the environment as it turned a slight red. It seemed to be heating? Whatever it did, it made it easier for the siren to put an end to the pack as she either had to thrust and rip the dog like beasts until there chip was either destroyed or taken by her. By the time she had been done with them, she was contented with the two chips she could get her hands on. Better Keep them for later….she thought as she drop them down her shirt pocket. She had enough for now, considering she feed before the mission and didn’t use her skills yet.
She looked around in search of what might be her next opponent, but however was interrupted by clouds of smoke followed by a loud yell. Turning she attention to it, she spotted two shadows becoming for clearly visible as the smoke faded off. A quite grand entrance as two siren emerged from it. What is he doing here?! Ayame’s thoughts raced as one of the sirens was a friend. He gave a quick glance at her as he then continued his speech. Either total wisdom or total stupidity. She didn’t have to waste her time thinking on it. The boy was very good at drawing unnecessary attention to him. The female along with him was rather emotional – another one? She thought as she sighed. She decided to watch the drama; maybe something might come good of it….or worsen. She watched as a claw pointed a gun at the two. She wondered if the VFD took out citizens in their way. If so, it was different from what she had thought about the organization. She was now curious to what move the two might make.

Celsus reached out his hand and accepted a fragment of the chip from the Virus he and his Leech comrade had erased together. A distraction was all his ally had needed to make short work of the grotesque feline in a most spectacular fashion. And in addition to being powerful, he was also a man of integrity, sharing the spoils he'd ripped from the Lion's chest even though the Hollow felt his part in the battle had only been small. "It was my pleasure to assist." He replied, stashing the chip away into one of his many pockets, watching the Leech walk away in solemn silence. Widening his gaze across the battlefield once more, he saw that someone had at last set foot inside the nest. It was Leanne - along with three others. A Beast, a Claw, and another Hollow.
Walking towards them, Celsus paused as the battlefield was suddenly enveloped in a cloud of smoke. A loud, but high-pitched voice calling out, commanding that the fight should cease. Raising a curious eyebrow, Celsus' gaze pierced through he smoke and fixed upon a youthful pair of Sirens standing with an escort of Viruses, their stance and facial expressions suggesting that they intended to fight in defense of the very creatures the army had come here to destroy. As things were already, the Viruses had the long-term advantage in this fight. The last thing that the attacking side needed was for the defenders to receive re-enforcements.
There was a powerful gust of wind, and the smoke instantly cleared from the meadows, throwing several lesser Viruses up into the air as the breeze swept through them. Turning his head, the Hollow saw that the Beast whom he'd spared from death not long ago was now making his move at last. Having been biding his time, saving his power, holding back should something like this occur. With his ability to make the wind blow from any direction, he was propelling himself forwards towards the group of Virus sympathizers at high velocity. He skidded to a halt next to what looked to be a young woman, but who was actually a Virus herself, fighting on their side. Confident that they would be able to handle the interlopers; Celsus continued walking towards the cave entrance.
Standing alongside Leanne, Skye and Zane, the fourth man the bandaged Hollow had spotted from afar stepped forwards, twirling an umbrella made of a bizarre clay-like substance absent-mindedly though the air. He was humming a cheery tune under his breath, and unlike most of his companions, seemed quite at peace with his surroundings. "Fascinating, isn't it?" He asked the three of them. Turning around and flashing them a devilish grin. Holding out his umbrella, the substance it was made of shimmered like water, and it changed shape into a sledgehammer. The smiling Hollow swinging it around as though it was light as air, despite it's hefty size. "We're standing inside an actual Virus Nest! A real one! With bloodthirsty Viruses and everything!" He squealed in delight, fidgeting and squirming with excitement like he was a child. "We're probably making history with every step! Do you realize that until now, it's been considered suicidal to even set foot in this place? Poppycock! Balderdash!"
Prancing up and down, his enthusiastic cries echoing loudly through the tunnel, the demented doctor held his hammer under his armpit and rubbed his gloved hands together longingly, whimpering in anticipation. "Oooooh... just imagine the specimens we'll find down here! Viruses from the very dawn of the network! Possibly some of the first ever infected! It's so exciting, why, I'm getting tingles just thinking about it!" Jumping up and down, clapping his hands together with glee, the Hollow threw back his head and let out a squeaky gurgling laugh. "Mwa ha hee he hee he! Hee ha ha ha hee!" Turning around and smiling at them, the little gauge on the eccentric android's head flipped over to the other side. His smile suddenly disappearing. "Of course, it's unlikely most of you will survive that long." He droned in a dreary monotone, his bubbly enthusiasm having all but vanished, his body suddenly stiff where it had once been loose and twitchy. "You're probably going to die, at least." As he said this, the Hollow pointed at Skye. "But try not to worry about it. Anxiety will only decrease your chances of survival." As he finished saying this, there was a *beep* as the little gauge flipped again.
"I'm joking! Ha ha ho! Oh, your funny little faces! Tee hee hee! You three are priceless!" Bounding over to them, the doctor created a biycicle made of the same clay-like substance of his hammer, the object appearing out of thin air. Pedaling around them in a circle, giggling like a maniac, he reared back onto one wheel before falling forwards, cycling away down towards the tunnel's darkest depths. "Come on you lazy lot! Last one dead's a silly sod!" He yelled as he rode his bike off into the distance. Celsus arriving and standing behind Leanne just as the other Hollow had vanished completely from sight.

A small fireball suddenly came rushing at Miharu, and as the silver wing returned to it's normal state as the child tilted his head to the right, the fireball flying past his head. "That was mean, Taka-chan, ne ne! If you wanted to play with me, you should have asked!" The child said as the hawk headed virus began to attack. One of the child's eyes began to turn a bloody red and his cute grin became the intimidating smile as he spoke in a lower voice. "Miha-chan will play with you. And Onii-chan, I still have this ten year old body but I'm twenty, ne ne, but you can play with Taka-chan and me if you want to.." The child smiled creepily at the virus as the laser bullet grazed his ear and another person began to shoot at the virus. "Ouch, ne ne! That hurt, Taka-chan! I guess I have play rough to, ne ne!" He said, feeling slightly sick from the distortion. He then tried to grab the hawk headed wirus by the arm and plunge his little dagger into it's stomach. .YUKI IKESHIMA!?.Deciding to conserve his energy a bit more, Yuki switched the leopard out for a very large wind scythe at least three times his scythe with a large blade. His blue eyes flashed dangerously as he watched the other siren arrive, screaming for the group to stop. He began to run, using the wind as a boost, keeping one delicate hand on the handle of the scythe. Stopping gracefully in front of the other siren, the silver-haired Yuki spoke. "Stay out of this." He spoke, his light tenor voice heavy with mistrust and hatred. This slaughter of viruses was payback for many of the attacking party members, and this boy had no right to try to stop them. Anyone who got in Yuki's way, no matter who it was, would be cut down. The siren narrowed his peacock blue eyes at the other siren, his hands resting lightly on the air scythe.

Angel winced for a moment "DON'T YOU ALL UNDERSTAND? HAS ANYONE EVER TRIED TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH A VIRUS? THEY ARE PUPPETS, NOT THE ENEMY, YOU'RE MAKING YOU'RE SELVES BECOME THE ENEMY, THE TRUE ENEMY IS WHAT IS CONTROLLING THEM." Angel smiled as his speed crystal made his body glow vibrantly, as his movements blurred, grabbing holly, moving away from everyone as he turned to Ayame and Leanne, his sword pointed to Leanne for a moment.Angel put down holly as he stood infront of her, holding both heavy swords, ready to defend him and her. "Leanne Don't you remember what happened last time?" Angel stared at her for a moment, Ayame.....why......Angel stared at the ground for a moment as he turned around, people were already heading inside. Angel clutched his eye piece, as a flash appeared on the battlefield, soon a small bomb was in Angel's hand. "LISTEN, I'M TRYING TO SAVE YOU, UNDERSTAND THAT THE VIRUSES ARE OUR ALLIES." Angel nodded as he glanced at holly "Just.....run....I don't want you to get hurt." Angel smiled as he turned to the battlefield. "I promised I'd defend you right? just like aroku, and Ayame, and Leanne..... so I must keep my promise." Angel smiled, as he took a step forward.
Assistant 1 The virus ducked quickly, as he fired another shot at the enemy, this time just taser sprays, as it fired at sophia. it grunted and made clicks. "....." , soon sprinted across the battlefield as it stood next to Angel. the virus stared at Ayame, she wasn't fighting, was she a bystander? the virus stared at Angel for a moment as he nodded. The virus fired a fireball at into the center of the battlefield causing a distraction, the viruses only wanted to defend it's home. Assistant 2 It slightly screeched as it backed away, retrieving his sword, shooting another non-lethal shot at the person who shot him first. "Wort!" The shot was pretty accurate this time, if it hit, then it would stun him for at least 3 seconds, otherwise, just a fault shot. It nodded as it sprinted to Angel moving away from the child, holding the gun-sword at the battlefield. Defend the home was a must. It frowned slightly, It wasn't the mission to kill, but he might have to. Assistant 3 The virus spoke to the others, using Telekinesis. It aimed directly at the female who wasn't fighting. Foolish.... It shrugged as it aimed downwards the scope steady on Sophia, as it studied her, the moment she wasn't ready, he fired a taser shot to her back. Glad that he somewhere high and safe, it would take guns or wings to reach him. "......." Angel winced as people moved inside, "viruses, pull back." Angel used the eye piece to contact the assistants as he sprinted back inside, wincing as he stared at Leanne. "......." his allies stood behind him, covering his back and the entrance. [[sorry....don't feel good]]

Aroku had been distracted by the sudden appearance of an old friend- and it seemed he was with the Virus’s side. At his moment of weakness, the large virus vaulted him off and he went flying into the air, coming back down and giving a bone-shattering landing on the ground, shoulder connecting with the ground first as the grass poked and prodded him. He winced, groaning. Coughing at the low covering smoke around the ground as he pulled himself up, his crimson hair showing from the grass as he rubbed his arm. His eyes wandered up to the flying lizard as all the viruses were surrounded by shields. Well, it wasn’t like Aroku was complaining, actually, he was slightly relieved. He wasn’t one to fight things needlessly, even as much as he hated the viruses. He slung an arm around his knee, sitting there as he watched people shout at Angel and try to break the barrier and kill the viruses. How foolish. But he was rather disturbed by this… strange man that was going on about the viruses and excitement. And why in hell was he holding an umbrella? Aroku stood up, dragging his sword up and sheathing it. His green eyes looked around the battlefield… so many had died. His hands clenched at his sides, trying to contain his anger and sadness. This was all the viruses fault… if they hadn’t attacked, if they weren’t here, if they didn’t exist. None of this would have happened. Aroku pressed his lips together in a subtle grimace, clenching his arm tight as he watched Angel intensely. He didn’t want to boy to die, he didn’t want Angel to be on the side of the viruses. It hurt unbearably, feeling as if he was being betrayed. How could he? Aroku had taken his time to greet, protect, and inform Angel of the world. Yet he took this like it was a game, like he could protect everyone- yet he was just helping kill people by siding with those Abominations! Aroku walked through the crowd as Angel turned his back on them, retreating into the tunnels. He had to talk with him, he had to get in there, he had to do something! He couldn’t stand this any longer, the people here dying and the viruses… something had to be done. Aroku ignored the growls of the viruses that he passed, moving around them and any other in his way. Pressing his way further towards the Siren… As soon as he got close, his eyes cautiously watched the three viruses. “Angel…” He called, gazing at him with eyes that honestly displayed his hurt. His hands held at his sides with his fingers loosely hanging to his sheathed sword. Aroku had to do something… he had to do anything to prevent any more death. He closed his eyes for a moment. “…Let me join you.” he offered after a brief silence. It was the only way to get into the tunnels, the only way to try and save everyone. It was the only option he had to talk with Angel and listen to his pledge and reason to the viruses.

Sophia watched as the trio ran toward the entrance to the nest. A lot was happening right now. A siren was fighting to HELP the Viruses? That didn't bode well for him. She was going to have to kill him. She growled and moved toward the entrance. She looked around, noticing that a few of their task force had disappeared, probably on the way inside. She ran swiftly toward the entrance, passing the clearing rather quickly. She jumped over a couple smaller viruses, and a small group of others, and landed, watching the man pedal away on a bike. She stood up and tumbled backwards. A combination of her current lack of energy, and the distortion around her, caused her to fall extremely weak. She reached in her pocket and broke one of the chips, her energy returning to about 67% Normal. She pushed back off the ground when a Claw-boy helped her up.
"Come, Sophia, the doctor wants us to follow him!" He said. Holding his hand up, he created a mass of the same clay-like substance the Doctors bike was made of. He pulled the Beast girl on it and hopped on. It started rolling forward swiftly, and soon he was just behind the Doctor. "Doc!" He called out, waving. "Whos a Silly Sod now?" He asked cheerfully, seemingly unaffected by the Distortion. He turned and notice a swarm of viruses closing in on them. He turned and pulled his scythe off his back. "I'll catch up in a few Doc, we have some nosy viruses that need to be dealt with." He said, causing the clay-like substance of his cart to reach out and grab the Doctors Bike before hopping off and holding the scythe, ready to attack. He spun the scythe around him, cutting through a group of the viruses. A large wave of black energy shot from it, tearing through the tunnel swiftly, cutting down a large number of Viruses. That must be a higher form of Sophias shadows... He'd have to help her achieve it. He took four more passes with his scythe. 5 Shadowy blade-like rifts flew through the nest, turning with the bends of the nest. He didn't think about the people it might hit, it was just so much fun to do!
Alyssa sighed, looking toward the entrance of the nest. She moved toward it, stopping next to the Leech that was acting as the General. "Well, Boss, What're your orders on the Virus Sympathizers? I don't have any issues with converting them, but If you give the order, I can kill them without any mental repercussion..." She sighed, looking at the General. She hadn't told most of these people that she was a virus, so her dragon form was probably a big surprise. No use hiding it... If they tried to kill her, she could get away rather easily, but if they accepted her help, she was ready to fight on their side to the end. "That is, if you don't have a problem taking help from a Virus..." She said, somewhat quietly.
John slid his pistol away as the viruses seemed to thin out around them. He looked over at Alyssa and the General, almost staring for a bit. She was a Virus, why was she helping them, and who the hell was she? He wondered. He didn't know that it was, in fact, his sister that was helping them. He moved toward the pair and stood on the opposite flank of the General. "If she tries anything, Boss, Im a pretty quick shot, I can take her out no problem." He said with a stern expression. "But she's right... We need to figure out what to do with the interlopers. What are the official orders?" He asked, his gaze fixated on the entrance.

"Well, Boss, What're your orders on the Virus Sympathizers? I don't have any issues with converting them, but If you give the order, I can kill them without any mental repercussion..."
After finishing off the Virus he'd been facing, the General in charge gazed at the supposed 'good' Virus. He didn't buy any of this 'innocent' Virus stuff this Siren kid was trying to sell. He still couldn't quite make himself trust this woman, either, but she did seem different than the others, somehow. They had to come up with some way to deal with this intrusion - this mission, their effort, wouldn't go to waste.
He gazed at the Virus woman, then to Sofia, and to the other fighters lined up in defense, and then to the opposing two Sirens, and sadly at the red-headed Leech who'd just offered to join them. Afterwards, his gaze went to the tunnel entrance, where he saw that several people had already taken the brave first steps in. Finally his eyes returned to the starting point. He let out a long sigh. "We can't let them compromise this mission! We've already fought too hard. We don't want to tarnish the VDF's reputation - don't use conversion or lethal force unless it becomes absolutely necessary, but don't let them interfere, at any cost. If they leave us with no other option, you have my authorization to put them down." He looked back in the direction of the nest. "But I must leave this task to you." He instructed to the Virus woman, the VDF member, and to the others opposing the Siren. "I can't let my men enter the Virus' nest alone. I'm counting on you to handle things out here." He then raised his voice louder, addressing everyone on the battlefield. "Those of you who aren't staying to keep back to the opposition, make for the entrance to the nest as soon as possible! We're entering!" With that, he turned and rushed towards the entrance himself, stepping inside. It felt cold and dank, and the distortion lingering inside it, as if it was clinging to the walls, made him feel dizzy. It was dark up ahead, and it was impossible to see what might be waiting for them. It was also suspiciously quiet. He knew for certain that there had to be more Viruses inside. Were they waiting for them somewhere? Would they face another ambush? "Be careful, everyone." He instructed. "It's oddly silent in here, and we have no idea what we'll face further ahead. We just might be the first people to ever set foot in here. Survival is the first priority. We need to make sure to live to tell what we see. Keep yourself calm and quiet, and stay on your toes." When you didn't know what to expect, you had to be ready for anything.[/blockquote] ---------------------------------------END NPC EVENT---------------------------------------

Post by AYAME HARUYA on Aug 15, 2010 5:12:28 GMT -8
Ayame watched a couple of people enter the tunnel, and then two who stood up. A Leech and a....Siren? She assumed by the looks of John's Wings and Alyssa without any mutations. They approached the general about killing Angel , the elf eared siren and their newest companion. What Angel said had some sense in it....The race lived for survival...like any other, maybe the master puppeteer was indeed behind this.
"If they leave us with no other option, you have my authorization to put them down."
Ayame stared at the ground for a while as she sunk in her thoughts. The general had given them the freedom to kill the three. She hesitated on what she had to do - follow the crowd, fight against the sympathizers or fight against the VDF. She needed the money but she wasn't doing to abandon her one friend. She watched as the General Headed in. Many others had gone in too , only a few stood and fought either the viruses or prepared themselves to kill he intruders. She sighed As she made up she mind...."I Hope I wont regret this..." She thought as she glared at the leech and so called "siren". She was afar from both sides. "False View....." she murmured a low command as her eyes set upon John And Alyssa. Slowly but clearly , the ground began to distort, as the ground began to rise twirling around the two. And so did the reddish Orange sky. However as the sky and ground began to distort no sense of negative energy could be felt. Ayame with her arms in front of her , and her hands crossed up against each other. Her eyes gave out a bright shimmer as she controlled the movement of the distortion trying not to get anyone other than the two in it.
Inside the nest, Devin patrolled the area. The news of a certain organization coming to massacre the race had spread rather quickly. Many viruses stayed to protect their homes, while others fled to safety until it was clear to come out. The young man in his early 20's sighed as his heart pounded from the inside. Surely he had fear of the worst, he hoped they thought of him as another Human, as he spoke clearly and had no mutations."Why do they think were terrors...." he thought. Viruses where just like any other race, kill to feed And ordered to convert. Why wouldn't they just terminate the beast population who only gained by taking ones life. However his expressions were calm as he heard footsteps through the tunnel. Many Viruses alert stood at the front of the tunnel awaited them to exit the tunnel. Some had gone ahead inside. To fight such a awful lot would put his life at a risk. He wished he had a second option....

Barely dodging an attack from behind, the anger in Sofia's eyes only deepened. Scowling, the Claw only shook her head at Angel's words. "That may be true - our real enemy is indeed who or what is controlling them, who or what created them." Her own voice abruptly raised again. "If we knew what that was, then things might be slightly different. But we're never going to know if we just sit and do nothing and let the Viruses destroy us! We have to break the cycle! The simple fact is that the more Viruses there are, the more people will be killed and the more people will become them! Is that what you want?! Even the Viruses that you have with you now could turn on you in an instant if they fell under the control of whatever is puppeteering them! Those who have been turned into Viruses are already lost! They're not who they used to be, they're only an empty shell that's being used as a plaything! Just let us set them free and prevent anyone else from the same fate!" She insisted, not moving her weapon an inch. She held her position as she heard the words of the General. She wasn't going to let him down - she wasn't going to let these protesters jeopardize the mission! Elizabeth, though, winced as the man spoke. ...Authorization to put them down? Her hands trembled slightly. What had they gotten themselves into? "But...the Viruses...they didn't become what they are now by choice! How can you just..." Her voice was nervous, but she held her ground. Sofia didn't budge, either. "Of course they didn't! But that doesn't change the fact that they are a danger! The lives of the people who are Viruses have already ended - they must be destroyed to prevent harm falling upon those who still have a chance to keep their lives! Life isn't always fair! Not everyone can be saved! It's only naive to think so. Even if it hurts, even if it's not fair, certain things have to be done for the sake of this world and everyone in it! When it comes to survival there are no compromises!" She glared at the two with slightly shaky hands, her gun remaining ready. With the appearance of the red-headed Leech who offered to join the Siren, and the other Siren who'd stepped up and who was harassing John and Alyssa, though, she begun to feel uneasy about just how many of them she could hold off for long... Nevertheless, she didn't let it show on her face. Hopefully having everyone else remaining to hold them off and let the others enter the nest would be enough. Leanne felt Angel stare against her from behind. She stood still for a moment, sighing, but she kept moving, not wanting to turn back to see his eyes. "Fascinating, isn't it?" She did turn, though, at the sound of the unfamiliar, oddly cheery voice. It was a Hollow man with some sort of bizarre helmet and an umbrella in his hands. Well...it wasn't an umbrella for long, suddenly shifting into a sledge hammer. Leanne and Skye's eyes stretched wider, and that wideness only increased as the man kept talking, his voice almost jubilant despite the nature of the words leaving his mouth and his body practically trembling in what was perhaps excitement. He jumped up and down, clapping his hands before giving out a high-pitched, squeaking laugh. The crow-like Beast instinctively took a step back in alarm - this man was quite scary. Leanne just stared, dumbfounded. The Hollow's grin all at once dissipated, his voice suddenly become melancholic and monotone as he spoke now about how unlikely their odds of survival were. Skye blinked in surprise at the scary man's sudden change in mood, but the bizarre Hollow pointed a finger in his direction. "You're probably going to die, at least." The boy flinched, startled, his features instantly flushing. Still shaken up from the close call outside, he almost burst into tears, but let anger show up on his face instead. Too bad it was so pale that his attempts to hide his fear were useless. "W...what? H...hey! Just because I'm stuck as a kid doesn't mean I can't fight!" He defended indignantly. "I'm joking! Ha ha ho! Oh, your funny little faces! Tee hee hee! You three are priceless!" There was a beep, and the man all at once burst into laughter again. Leanne and Skye were both just staring at him angrily by now, the boy's face red in embarrassment and anger and the girl's face showing great irritation and something almost akin to disbelief at his behavior. The man suddenly concocted a bicycle seemingly out of nowhere, encircling them on it and giggling before all at once taking off into the tunnels. "Come on you lazy lot! Last one dead's a silly sod!"Another bike, being pursued by Viruses, rushed by them shortly afterwards. "Doc! Who's a Silly Sod now?"Leanne and Skye just exchanged a glance, not quite sure what to say. Noticing none other than her former ally, Celsus, enter behind her, Leanne passed him the same glance, before giving a slight wave. The VDF General himself appeared shortly afterwards, urging them all forward with caution. The Leech and the Beast began to walk again, following in the general direction the others had disappeared in. Getting separated here wouldn't be wise.[/blockquote]

Angel smiled deviously as he removed his headphones, placing them on holly, soon covering Aroku's ears with his hands. Angel nodded as the viruses cupped their ears and Angel let out a screech, echoing inside the nest, as it could deafen anyone. When the screech ended just about everyone in the hive would be trapped inside a small barrier, lasting 10 seconds. Angel nodded as he cancelled his bubble, grabbing Aroku's and Holly's hands, sprinting across the hive. "Damn...we need to stop them slowly, otherwise, we can die. Holly, Aroku, if it comes to a fatal mission, I want you two to leave me." Angel smiled as he watched Leanne and the others, staring at the general. He'll be my kill. Angel smiled as the 10 seconds were up,Angel stopped them for a moment as he pointed to upwards, "We can take a shortcut, up there we can receive reinforcements. Angel nodded as he gestured them to leave..Angel winced for a moment, I hope you're ok. A- Angel winced as an odd event began to happen in the hive, why were they destroying their home? Assistant 1 The virus winced as he was covered by a bubble, but it kept it's eyes on the doctor, so loud and annoying it was. It stared at his squad as he got ready to call re-inforcments, soon a weird happening began, it wasn't sure what had happened, but It called his squad and sprinted after the doctor. Assistant two The virus jumped as the barrier fell, following after the leader virus of his squad, it winced as he noticed his home was damaged, it slowly grew anger as it shook it's head. The virus shot a tazer bullet at the doctor from a far distance, this was just to slow them down and let them no they were here. Assistant The sniper virus watched leanne carefully, it winced for a moment, target sighted, annoying biker is squad leader. It nodded and fired a bullet at his bike, trying to at least remove him off his bike, soon sprinting across the hive after them.
